Portals of Creation brings together two artistic practices rooted in personal and collective healing, unfolding in a space once dedicated to the care of the human mind. Responding to the site’s conflicting history of both healing and violence, the artists create an environment that honors the sacred and the sensory, where contemplation becomes a form of quiet ritual.

One body of work rises from deeper realms, carrying the weight of grief, memory, and transforma- tion, while the other radiates with light, evoking inner landscapes, expanded states of awareness, and the enduring presence of higher consciousness. In conversation, these works create a balance between shadow and illumination, offering visitors a passage through emotional depths toward renewed clarity.

Drawing on the Secession’s ideals of uniting art with life and seeking spiritual renewal, the exhibition invites a slowing of pace, an attunement to subtle stimuli, and an openness to encounter. Mirrors, symbolic objects, and instruments are placed within the space as gentle activators, encouraging reflection, play, and shared presence. What emerges is not simply an exhibition, but a living altar, an immersive meeting point between matter and spirit, where each visitor can enter their own portal of creation
